Its because me just finished watching this show... Mixed feelings...
This show tells the fat people to believe in oneself and to have self confidence. It also tells the slim people not to stereotype fat people, because they are humans too.
In the end, 肥田really did not lose weight, but she tried to lose weight because of her bf. Of course in the end the bf does not matter how fat she is. (Actually there is this guy in the show also lost weight for the one he likes, of course happy ending lah...) But does society really accept imperfection? Or rather I should phrase it this way. How does the society define perfection?
I shall quote from Savage Garden's Affirmation.
"I believe that beauty magazines promote low self esteem."
But 1 thing I have to say, how can other accept myself when I, myself, cannot accept myself?

the fact that fei tian and the other guy tried or has succedeed in slimming is becos of the one they love. Its natural for them to be that way (not becos they think their other half wont accapt becos of 'society imperfection') They change becos one will always want to be their best when they're with their another half. (just like u see how girls choose and choose and choose their outfits just becos of a date.) Hmmmm dunno if u get wad i mean ...
Definition of perfection varies. Just like beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Tho it sounded rather 'cliche' but its true mah..There isnt an equilibrium to begin with. Anyway , they always say :'the world isnt perfect'. Then y still try to search for prefection? Just like a certain clothing, the designer might design it till perfection already...but does that mean everyone will look nice in that particular outfit? Not really...its just the impression that branded and expensive = pretty . Perhaps if u do a random distribution it could be...But then izzit ALWAYS so ?
Sometimes the-next-door kinda person can live a peaceful-ier life.
Having expectations is good. Over expecting something will carry u nowhere but to the stairs of depression.
